Have you ever wondered who makes our luxurious hotel linens as you slip between the sheets at bedtime? Mandarin Oriental, Boston’s luxury line of bed and bath linen is provided by Quivera Hospitality and is used at over 25 other Mandarin Oriental hotels around the world.

Founded in 2000 with a commitment to offering the finest linen to the world’s best luxury hotels, the quality of Quivera’s product begins with the exclusive use of 100% USA PIMA yarn in their bed linen and RS Combed Piles in their bath linen. State of the art Air Jet Looms plus proprietary eco-friendly finishing techniques provide a product that is unsurpassed in the Industry.

In addition to a commitment to excellence, Quivera also shares a commitment to sustainability with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. All plastics used in the company’s production are now biodegradable and, where possible, plastic is no longer used. They have recently developed a moisture repellent shipping carton that eliminates the need to pack each individual item in a plastic bag. A first in the industry, and in keeping with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s commitment to be single-use plastic free by the end of 2021.

Michael Painter, Founder and President of Quivera Hospitality, feels strongly that the company’s key to success is its commitment to quality. Michael comes from an extensive background in textiles, with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and an MBA from the prestigious Darden Business School, University of Virginia.

“The quality of our products is perhaps our largest eco-friendly contribution,” says Painter. “Our utilization of 100% USA Pima yarns and enhanced production techniques give our products a life expectancy that is double the industry average. This enables our production facility to significantly reduce our chemical, water and electricity usage. We are planet conscience, and that is built into the DNA of our company.”

The quality of their product is evidenced by the endorsement by industry testing stalwart LTC of London and certification by BSCI, Sedex (SMETA), Oeko-Tex, ISO 9001 and ISO14001 for Social Compliance and Eco-Friendly production and finally, the world-renowned SGS.
